Organisation & Project Details

St. Stephen’s is a Primary School located in West Bowling, Bradford. Their Year 6 students recently secured funding through a Creative Labs initiative to establish a project focussed on growing produce. To support this, they have been developing a growing area and need support with the following:

Building raised beds

Number of Volunteers

We are seeking a team of up to 15 volunteers.

On-site support

On the day Participate will be providing a member of staff to support the volunteers. A trained first aider and first aid kit will be available during the challenge. A tools talk and health and safety briefing will be given by Participate at the beginning of the day.

Preparation

Volunteers will be undertaking DIY construction activities and are required to wear old and reasonably robust clothing. We also ask that you wear sturdy flat sole footwear avoiding any heels or open footwear. Where personal protective equipment is required it will be provided.

Materials, tools and equipment

Tools and materials will be provided by Participate Projects.
