Ilkley Youth and Community Centre is a safe space for children and young people to learn, play and socialise. The well used building has not seen renovated in some time and is greatly in need of repainting. Previous visits from high Speed Training has seen the main activity space be repainted with progress made on the hallways and toilets. Your task will be to build on this and finish the internal painting and prepare the outdoor mural space.
Renovation would involve painting and glossing the following:
• Main Hall
• Toilets
• Corridors
• White wash wall for Mural prep

We are looking to recruit up to 10 volunteers.
On-site support
On the day Participate will be providing a member of staff to support the volunteers. A trained first aider and first aid kit will be available during the challenge. A tools talk and health and safety briefing will be given by Participate at the beginning of the day.
Preparation
Volunteers will be undertaking painting activities and are required to wear old and reasonably robust clothing that you will not mind getting paint on. We do offer paint overalls, although these do not guarantee no damage to clothing. Where personal protective equipment is required it will be provided.
Materials, tools and equipment
Tools and materials will be provided by Participate Projects.
